Court ordered parents’, family and child guildance counselling as required by § 107 Abs. 3 Z 1 AußStrG

I am a BMFJ accredited counsellor according to § 107 Abs. 3 Z 1 AußStrG and am therefore able to offer court ordered parents’, family and child guidance counselling as required by § 107 Abs. 3 Z 1 AußStrG

The goal of this specific type of counselling is to ensure your child’s welfare and improve its current and mid-term developmental conditions. This means, I will support you to notice, interpret and respond to your child’s needs, resolve conflict with your ex-partner so you can work together regarding your children and I will advise you on dealing with parenting issues and conflict resolution.

Particularly when both parents access counselling as required by § 107 Abs. 3 Z 1 AußStrG together, but also in individual counselling, it is important to set joint subjects and goals for the following sessions. This happens in the first appointment and is based on any suggestions from court. Therefore I would ask that you bring any court paperwork when you attend.

Ideally, both parents should access counselling as required by § 107 Abs. 3 Z 1 AußStrG together if this has been imposed by court. However, in some cases, this does not work. In this case, I will inform you and court of my view (without telling them any reasons). It is possible, court will then order you to attend individual counselling as required by § 107 Abs. 3 Z 1 AußStrG or some other type of support such as an anger management course etc.

What information gets passed on?

All session content is confidential.

I will issue written confirmation of the start and completion of your counselling sessions , both of these must be presented to court by you.

Should one parent quit before completion of all required sessions, I must inform court of this using a form which does not include any details or reasons.

Should my assessment lead me to decline counselling you, I must report this to court without stating any reasons.

Should you wish, I am able to issue a short written summary oft he results and any remaining issues for you.

My task is solely to provide counselling as required by § 107 Abs. 3 Z 1 AußStrG, so I will not give anyone an opinion on you or any recommendations and I will not request information on you from anyone else.
